Mirroring - Suggestions/Experiences

Hi everyone, I've just inherited a project to do disk mirroring...Unfortunately I'm getting bits and pieces on how the "mirror" is done now and don't have a complete picture how things are working... We are running Sun Sparcs using Online 4.00UH1. Basically I need to know the experiences anyone out has had doing disk mirroring and the best strategies. Currently the mirroring is done via NFS. Is this the correct way of doing this?
