Re: An Association of Computer Consultants at Montreal: WHY and HOW.

Gee, Considering that you spammed a lot of newsgroups, with this message. *This too is being crossposted to make sure you see it!* What form of professional ethics can we expect? Excessive cross posting is spam, and I admit I am being guilty in not limiting this thread. Sorry. Yes, there is a lot of work out there but Comp.database.Informix is not a misc.jobs/contracts/resumes.* ng. This NG is supposed to be for the promotion of Informix and their products. (An informal space for Q&A and tech wennie topics not found anywhere else.)[Except in the presense of a few drunken DBAs working off a week of stress. :-] Every so often, we have those who like to post resumes, or that they are looking for work. There are tonnes of other Newsgroups for that. A couple of years ago, the concensus of this group was to allow for the posting of open positions in this NG. This provided information to not only potential job applicants, but it told us who else was using Informix and where. The only constraint was that the posts had to conform to net ettiquites. (No slow spamming of the group, no massive cross postings.) While Chris may want to create a consultants forum, (And it is far from being the first), c.d.i is not the place for it. So please keep this thread out of here. -Mucho Gracias. Danka! Merci! Tchuss! -The Management.
