It's so hard not to appear the bad guy here but I though XPS was not getting any more features added. No 8.6? Also the system requirements page:- http://www.ibm.com/software/data/informix/xps/requirements.html does not show support for - AIX 5.2 or AIX 5.3 - Even Solaris 9! Does this need to be updated? Are existing clients worried that no new features are being added to XPS?

Yes - 8.51 is the scheduled last release. A number of existing clients are well aware of this, and are still choosing to use XPS. As I mentioned, they are heavily invested in people, hardware, etc...and without a doubt know that XPS is the best product for what they are doing as a company. Thanks - Mark Scranton
