time delay in *.sql file

Hello, I need to add time delay( something like sleep 100 on unix) besfore my transaction closes the database. To make myself clear. For example I have a file delete.sql: DATABASE customer;DELETE * from customer where c_num>2500; When I execute this at the command line using: $INFORMIXDIR/bin/dbaccess - delete.sql The following occurs on the screen: Database selected 300 rows deleted Database closed This happens too fast and hence I need to include something like: DATABASE customer;DELETE * from customer where c_num>2500; some time delay CLOSE DATABASE; How do I accomplish this. We are using 7.20.UC3 engine . I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance, Anitha
