Database connection

Please help. I have Informix Dynamic Server version 7.3 for Solaris. I configure it and set all files as: /etc/services $INFORMIXHOME/etc/sqlhost $INFORMIXHOME/etc/onconfig But when I want conect to server over the net its not work. When I want do loopback it doesnt work too. Where is problem ???? My files: etc/services . . . . sqlexec 1399/tcp $INFORMIXHOME/etc/sqlhost ais olipcshm ais anything ais_net ontlitcp ais sqlexec $INFORMIXHOME/etc/onconfig . . . DBSERVERNAME ais DBSERVERALIASES ais_net NETTYPE tlitcp,1,100,NET NETTYPE ipcshm,1,100,CPU Thanx.

The engine and all local clients look for sqlhosts and the ONCONFIG file in $INFORMIXDIR/etc NOT in $INFORMIXHOME/etc. Also the sqlhosts file is sqlhosts not sqlhost (typo?). You can move sqlhosts to another location using the environment variable INFORMIXSQLHOSTS=/full/path/sqlhosts Art S. Kagel
