Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Error -106 is non-exclusive access trying to drop an index.
The column you are trying to rename has one or more indexes containing it.
These have to be dropped and recreated, that is the access that is being
conflicted with. Try:
SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT;LOCK TABLE <mytable> IN EXCLUSIVE MODE;
RENAME COLUMN ......

The onstat -k should show a table level Intent shared lock or Index lock
on the table's partnum or a detached index's partnum.
