infinite select on specific record in informix

Good Day, I would like to ask the experts here regarding our problem. We have a record in our informix database that cannot be retrieved. We are running informix 11.70 FC7 and this record (using code number and transaction date) is running continuously without giving the result. This was already proven because when we change the code number or transaction date to any given data, the result is already out in 1 to 3 seconds. Would like to ask on how to trouble shoot this kind of problem or if we have a problem with the index???
Have you run oxygen -cDI know the table?
