Dbexport / Dbimport Utility

Has anyone a better utility then the dbexport / dbimport utilities that come with informix? If I run dbimport using redhat 6.1 IDS 2000 I keep getting Unknown error 0 Data Corrupt. But, if I run the same procedures ... in dbaccess such as create the table, load the data, create indexes ...etc ... it works! Not sure what is going on here ... considering I am working with an ASCII text export. If not I will make one ... for everyone ... and I will post it here ... give me a couple of weeks.
