In-Place Upgrade of Informix 11.1 to 12.10

I want to know what are the things I should take considerations when it comes to upgrading 11.1 (Production) to 12.10? I only tried doing it on an 11.5 demo server, since 11.1 is not supported anymore. I'd appreciate any kind of help. Thanks in advance.

You can compare the new features introduced in every new version after 11.1 to 12.1 with your desired set of requirements. There are administration related enhancements, SQL related features and improvements relevant to OLTP and/or warehouse workload.
