Things get even worse :
1) The bug I had is in release 7.12 is still there. It exists in 7.20 and
Informix can now "recreate" on almost any platform and version. Nice.
2) The dynamic linker has its problems. I can link a program, but if I
don't run it as root it doesn't work. Links static : OK.
3) SPL : every system call that does not return 0 causes an error : -172 -
ISAM Internal error, please contact Informix technical support.
4) KAIO is supported but doesn't seem to work
5) Streams connections are supported but don't work.
Release 7.20 looks very good but there are a lot of flaws. I think release
7.21 or 7.22 will cure these.
