OK all you informix guru's out there now is the time to hit me with all your personal opinions. My only exposure to the world of infomix has come from building several databases in Uniplex which uses an old (version 2.??) of informix as it's database engine. We are looking for some long term data management solutions and all this talk about informix GUI's sounds interesting. We would like a Unix based solution we can run primarily on our X-terminals which is why these GUI systems sound so attractive to me. It would also be nice if what we selected worked with Windows. Our largest MIS concerns are in the areas of -Inventory Management -Customer Contact -Shipping If you currently are using a reliable product(s) in any of these areas I would like to hear from you. Specifically I would like to know about cost, who you purchased from, what kind of support is available, and, of course, your opions and presonal anecdotes.
