I posted a similar message before, but only got an answer on the trigger part of the question. I would like to open up a 4GL form, but instead of querying for a record after the form opens, I would like to perform the query first, and then open up the 4GL form with the record in it. Anyone do this before or have any suggestions on how to do this? Details would be appreciated. Thanks-a-bunch. MoJo Risin -- Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Or, if you are opening empty window first, and then displaying the form, move them both, or just the display form, to the same place. Here was another reply from Harold Luse (thanks, Harold)
Try:
select col1, col2 into p_col1, p_col2
from tabname
open window w_disp_form at 2,2 with form "disp_form"
display p_col1 to s_col1
display p_col2 to s_col2
ect.....
