Trouble with IDS 7.3 on NT

Have been unsuccessful in attempting to upgrade my 7.22 Workgroup Server to IDS 7.3. All goes fine until it gets to the install of the ISM. It copies files, and then sits there. The hourglass spins. Nothing else. It never gets past that point, never gives me feedback, never provides an error. This is purely a development machine with virtually no data on it, 266 Pentium, about 2 Gigs free in hard drive space. NT 4.0, SP3. Any ideas? mj
A little more info.
I think it is a permissions problem. When I try to run dbaccess, it tells
me it is unable to check security. When I try to initialize the server in
NT Services, it says I must be a member of informix-admin group.
I AM a member of the group. I have tried is signed in under informix, my
name, and administrator...all members of Administration, Informix-Admin,
etc. Has it lost its mind?
When I go into the replication manager, it tells me my sqlhosts file is
incorrect. But it is not. It just can't read it from the registry,
although setnet works fine and I can go into regedit and confirm that all
settings have been made.

Would it be worth trying to re-install now that SP4 is installed? This is incredible. Also, where on the CD is the IECC? I received documentation, but can't see anything which would set it up. I'm starting to feel a little half-brained here! m
If you have SP4 or above, you need 7.30 TC7 or above. 7.30 TC6 or below will not work with SP4 or above. -- Bashar Chalabi CTL, London
