page cleaner timeout

Hi, OnLine 5.10, HP-UX 10.20, there is in turbo.log following: ... ERROR: page cleaner #1 has timeout ... and one of tbinit processes disappears. We use 3 cleaners and if one fell down, it seems the checkpoint is very slow ... What can cause timeout of page cleaner ? Does it mean any serious problem ? If I set up 5 page cleaners, can it be wrong in any way ? The initial response for this is that the activities for the page cleaner took it longer than 2 minutes to complete. This is usually related to tunning issues; however, in a HP-UX 9.0.4 environment there is an OS bug that causes a semop request to cycle 120 times within a couple of second as opposed to once a second. My suggestion is to first tune the engine, then pursue this with Informix. You can tune this away if it is a tunning issue, but if it is an OS problem you gotta get HP and Informix on board. BTW, We have fought this problem in the 9.x world for almost 4 years.
