Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Hello all:
I've finally gotten my database working...albiet using a shared memory
connection. What I would like to do is have a TCP connection set up (in
case the server ever moves onto a machine of it's own). I've checked
all the configuration files (/etc/services /etc/system sqlhosts.ifmx
config.ifmx), but oninit still complains that it can't find my service
listing in /etc/services. My plaform is UNIX (Solaris 2.5.1) and we are
running an NIS+ environment. Anyone have any experience with this? I'm
getting a little tired of being asked the same questions over and over
again by Informix tech support.
