Hi,
the info unfortunately is not sufficient to tell what
the cause of this problem is.
And I have to admit that this is not your fault! :)
But I have not seen this problem behaviour in
this way before.
Therefore can you please do the following to gather some
useful info:
Run the archecker command in the debugger "gdb".
To be sure that it works do this as user root:
% gdb ${INFORMIXDIR}/bin/archecker
After some informational output, you will get a prompt from
the debugger. At this prompt (>) type:
> run ...
where you replace the "..." with your archecker
command line options.
The archecker will run in the debugger. At the point where the
segmentation violation (SEGV) happens, the debugger will
stop the execution of the program and you will again
get the debugger prompt. Now type:
> where
This debugger command will produce a trace of the
function call stack. Save this output and send it via e-mail.
We can then look at this and try to figure out what the problem
is.
Regards,
Martin
