Re: User Specific Auditing

Hi, One way of doing this is to apply an extra audit mask to all the users you do want to audit, rather than trying to approach it from the other end. Maybe you know this already and are trying to avoid having to do this? It means of course that you need to integrate your auditing with your user management. And it might not be a very good solution if you've got 'grant connect to public' or similar in your schema. Ben.
Thanks Ben! Actually I have significant number of users, considering performance overhead I have user '_require' mask only. I know users mask's comes before '_require' and due to excessive number of users it is not possible to use a separate list of masks for each user as that would degrade performance significantly. Is there anyway to bypass any specific mask (say UPRW) for only one user (i.e application user)whereas for all rest of the users it should be working under '_default' mask? fahad
