Disaster Recovery - part Duex - Help :-)

Hi all, I Have yet another instance that has a fatal Error On bringing the system Down I recieved this message 17:35:23 The Master Daemon Died 17:35:28 PANIC: Attempting to bring system down 17:35:28 semctl: errno = 22 Bringing the system up the online log shows ;- 17:35:28 17:50:41 Segment locked: addr=0xa000000, size=1633476608 Wed Oct 20 17:50:43 2004 17:50:43 Event alarms enabled. ALARMPROG = '/usr/informix/etc/log_full.sh' 17:50:58 DR: DRAUTO is 0 (Off) 17:50:58 Dynamically allocated new message shared memory segment (size 1616KB) 17:50:58 Dynamically allocated new message shared memory segment (size 1616KB) 17:50:58 Dynamically allocated new message shared memory segment (size 1616KB) 17:50:58 Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.UC6 Software SerialNumber AAC#J970977 17:50:59 Logical Log File not found. 17:50:59 Informix Dynamic Server Stopped. 17:50:59 mt_shm_remove: WARNING: may not have removed all/correctsegments 16:59:12 Segment locked: addr=0xa000000, size=1633476608 I think its time for another Restore - last week the last logical log on the tape where currupt -(thanks goes to Neil Truby for showing how i can move tape to disk and truncate the corrupt log). So we now log to disk and replicate so i have lots of individual logs to restore. My Question is two fold - has anybody come across the errors above and have anything to share and is it possile to take all the individual logs and cat into a file ie can I just use cat to put these binary files into 1

do you still have all your disks online?? this: 17:50:59 Logical Log File not found. may be the result of a lost logical log dbspace ot whereever you put the log. logs. OR you may have overwritten this instance(your chunks) with something else. You mentioned the second instance; MAKE SURE that the first instance does not screw up the second and visa versa!!! please check your chunks!! If you restore the second may be you kill the first .... The info you supplied is not enough to help. there should be more info in the first af and maybe the second af file produced.
