Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I have recently installed informix 7.0 on a SNI/Pyramid/MIPS box. The
system has 64 MB of real memory, about 180 MB of swap and is running
SINIX flavor of 5.4x unix. There are only 4 informix users running a
finance package developed by a third party.
I have noticed some real performance problems since its install. My
questions are:
1) Is/are there any unix tuneable parameters that can be tweaked to get
better response times from this system.
2) Will more memory help. I am currently looking at adding another
64MB.
thanx for your input and time
