First you need to setup setnet32 CORRECTLY. Then, you also need to add "srv_agent" and "turbo" TCP ports to your services files (this file is located at %systemroot%/system32/drivers/etc directory for NT 4.0 Workstation). Do not forget to add a blank line after the last services file entry (its a bug). Also add hosts file entry for database server host name. Then set ODBC DSN correctly to connect database server through. Good luck.
