Hi admins, I would like to maintain a replicate of my production database on another server, in real-time, and be able to do delete/write in my target database. I 'd like to avoid triggers as I do not want to double the logs on my database. Do you not any log-based or net-based replication tool that allows this? My environment is IDS 7.31.UC3 on HP-UX 10.20. TIA, David...
Have you looked at the Enterprise Replication which comes with IDS? Check out your Enterprise Replication manual. If you have the Workgroup Edition, you can do Primary -> Secondary replication. If you have the full-blown IDS, then you can do Peer-to-Peer replication as well as Primary -> Secondary replication.
