Hi,
I have IDS 11.5 on Linux. I would like to know how we could get the sql plan
for a session which is already running, i want to trace the session on the
fly. I have tried the onmode -Y 1
and onstat -g ses >> but i am not getting the sqexplain output. Please advise.

You will not get any explain plan for statements that an application has
already PREPARED once and is simply executing or opening and fetching
cursors against with onmode -Y
That said, you have the command format incorrect. You need to include the
session id of the session you want to get a plan for between the -Y and the
1 for turn on or 0 for turn off. So to turn explain plan on for session
2345 you would run:
onmode -Y 2345 1
to turn it off again:
onmode -Y 2345 0
