Thanks for any help. With 7.13 you're somewhat in a bind. The fastest loads on 7.13 (according to my timings, using about 50 concurrent load jobs) were with the sql load command (believe it or not!) If you can upgrade to 7.2, you have access to the bulk loader. It'll work wonders - the gui is called ipload. I've loaded (on an AIX box) about a million records in < 8 minutes.
