ONARCHIVE problem : define volume
Posted in 1998
Hi everybody,
I'm trying to define a volume for the back up of the logical logs (on
disk).
I'm using the following commands :
#onarchive
'define/vset=dbs_vop/accessibility=0/device_type=dbs_vop/class=system/driver=disk/permanently_mounted/location=(/opt2/informix_bu/dbs_vop)'
#onarchive
'define/vset=logs_vop/accessibility=0/device_type=dbs_vop/class=system/driver=disk/permanently_mounted/location=(/opt2/informix_bu/logs_vop)'
#onarchive
'define/volume/vset=dbs_vop/label=1/virtual=(/opt2/informix_bu/dbs_vop/vol1)/max_space=9999999'
onarchive
'define/volume/vset=logs_vop/label=1/virtual=(/opt2/informix_bu/logs_vop/vol1)/max_space=9999999'
The first three went ok, (also a level 0 back up)
but the last one gives the error message :
ARC-E-01165, Undefined device (see CONFIGURATION file).
config.arc :
DEVICE dbs_vop = /opt2/informix_bu/dbs_vop
DEVICE logs_vop = /opt2/informix_bu/logs_vop
DEVICE tape = /dev/tape
DEVICE disk = /tmp
onconfig
# System Archive Tape Device
TAPEDEV /dev/null # Tape device path
TAPEBLK 16 # Tape block size (Kbytes)
TAPESIZE 4000000 # Maximum amount of data to put on
tape (Kbytes)
# Log Archive Tape Device
LTAPEDEV /dev/tape # Log tape device path
LTAPEBLK 16 # Log tape block size (Kbytes)
LTAPESIZE 4000000 # Max amount of data to put on log
tape (Kbytes)
The directories and /dev/tape exists.
Any suggestions ?
Thank you for your help
