Yes, I have this set up in my lab on an SCO and Sun machine. You will
need two different entries in you sqlhosts file, and your services
file and will need to start two sqlexecd demons, one for each.
The following are examples from my SCO box based on my memory of its
setup. Its temporay running another OS right now so I cannot check it.
/etc/services
-------------
sqlexec 1527/tcp ## davinci I-net entry
davincidb1 1528/tcp ## davinci I-Star entry
^^^^^ ^^^^^^^
service name service number - must be unique
$INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts
-------------------------
davinci setlitcp davinci sqlexec
davincidb1 oltlitcp daninci davincidb1
^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^
dbserver see manual hostname service name in /etc/services
Then I start 2 sqlexecd process as follows:
## Start I-Net - defaults to service name sqlexec
$INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlexecd -l $INFORMIXDIR/log/sqlexecd.log
## Start I-Star
$INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlexecd davincidb1 -l $INFORMIXDIR/log/davincidb1.log
^^^^^^^^^^
I use the the service name to start I-Star
Please let me know if you need any more info.
