I've not been having that problem with a current email address, but my old johnl@informix.com email address was generating a lot of spam that I got to see, one way or another, in January or February this year. The chances are the list moderator will spot that what was sent was indeed spam, that you were not the actual sender, and quietly send the messages on their way to /dev/null without troubling everyone else - for which we should all be grateful. I do get a lot of bounces from emails that I've apparently sent to Russia - and my home email account averages over 150 spams a day that Earthlink blocks and deletes on my behalf. A fair amount still gets through, but Thunderbird does a fairly good job on those, and gets educated as it goes. I also use the web mail interface to let Earthlink know which mails I think are spam - which does more good than educating my local mail agent. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2005.02 -- http://dbi.perl.org/
