Define Variable DATE question

Hi all, We are currently running SQL 4.2, SE 5.10 and I have some legacy ACE reports I'm fixing up for Y2K. Problem: Translating user input string like "010100" to "01012000" (mmddyy to mmddyyyy) If my user types in the four digit year, no problem. If they type in a two digit year, the sorting for the report is off. I'm hoping for an easy solution like a format string after the DATE statement in the DEFINE block, but I've been unable to find any documentation as such. This seems like one of those really obvious problems with a really easy fix that i'm just not seeing. Any help would be appreciated! Example code: DEFINE VARIABLE fr_date DATE VARIABLE to_date DATE END [some more deleted code] INPUT PROMPT FOR fr_date USING "From date: " PROMPT FOR to_date USING " To date: " END -- Thanks, Steven Smith MIS Administrator Accoutrements- Archie McPhee monk@accoutrements.com
