cdr check between IDS 11.5 and IDS 10.0

Im trying to complete a cdr check or cdr sync between two different servers - one is IDS 11.5 on linux the other IDS 10/0 on HP-UX. The problem appears to be that they each have a different checksum routine. I have tried to copy the checksum from the older server to the newer one... but that didn't help. Does anyone know of a way to use the cdr check to make sure the data is the same on both servers without the checksum? or how do I get the same checksum on both servers? Thanks! you have to install the checksum routines to the database by using the install script which is part of IDS 10. (create procedure... xxxx) It's not enough just to copy the files. Also, since one is Linux and the other is HP_UX, you'll need to recompile the checksum routines. I don't think it's possible that with 2 different OSes that you will get compatible checksums. I wouldn't think that most of your numeric columns in your db would have the same (OS) format at both ends; Linux vs HP-UX. Thanks Madison - We actually did install to the database but it is the recompile that was missing. We are working on that now - do you know if there is a make file? If not, no worries, we can muddle through it. You might look in $INFORMIXDIR/extend/checksum. in the 11.50 server. Also, I think that the sql needed to register them are located in $INFORMIXDIR/etc/idschecksum.sql From: "Laurie Gustin" <lgustin@utah.gov> To: ids@iiug.org Date: 01/24/2011 10:57 AM Subject: Re: cdr check between IDS 11.5 and IDS 10.0 [22552] Sent by: ids-bounces@iiug.org Thanks Madison - We actually did install to the database but it is the recompile that was missing.
