There are two environment varaibale you have to set for termcap. These two
env variables and the right values for them are:
TERMCAP=/informix/etc/termcap
INFORMIXTERM=termcap
Your problem is with INFORMIXTERM variable, this variable used to expect
$INFORMIXDIR/etc/termcap in the older version of Informix. The format has
chnaged since 7.X, it should have one the value termcap.
