Hi all,
I encountered informix database error "-1" when i ran my ESQL/C
program. However, when tried to re-run the same program again, this
error does not exhibited. Hope you can provide me the leads to solve or
describes this problem. Is it caused by informix or the OS itself?
$ finderr -1
-1 Not owner.
An operating system error code with the meaning shown was unexpectedly
returned to the database server. Check the ownership and permissions of
files
and directories used in the current operation. Look for operating system
error messages that may give more information.
Thanks in advance and enjoy your weekend.

if(cc = somefunction() != 0) {
fprintf(stderr, "Error %ld doing something...\\n", cc);
exit(cc);
}
The problem was that cc was being assigned TRUE or FALSE, depending on
the result of 'somefunction() != 0'. To fix this, I added parens.
