Backing up tables or complete databases ?

Hello, Is it possible to make a backup from a table in one database to another (backup)database (by VB sourcecode) and restore earlier made backups ? Can I even make a backup of the complete database and also restore it by using VB-code ? I like to make an button which the user can click to make backup's Can you give some information or even some samples. I'm using the Informix database but it should be the same for SQL-server or something like that. Thanks, Jan Giezen j.giezen@techid.com
