ontape on various system

I want to make replicate system for IDS 9.40 FC5 from HP itanium machine to IBM p series machine can I use ontape utilitiy to backup data from HP machine and restore data to IBM machine? thanks

No. You can only do this between same (occasionally similar) versions of the engine on binary compatible O/S. If it is a snapshot you need then dbexport/dbimport are your friends (or possibly load or dbload). If you need continual updates (for backup purposes or MI enquiries) then look at Enterprise Replication. Read the Migration Guide and the ER Guide.
