Hey all, Just curious what you all would recommend as the column type for storing a PDB file. We generally store them on the filesystem and just store the location in the database, but if we changed to actually embed them, what is the best plan? So far I'm guessing it should be a byte field and if I need logging it needs to be inline data, and it needs to be in an SBSPACE for HDR. What do you think? Thanks! If you use a BYTE column it needs to be IN TABLE to be logged and supported by HDR/RSS/SDS, but ER supports and replicates BYTE even in blobspaces. If you use a BLOB type column then make sure that the sbspace is a logged sbspace for any kind of replication to work. Art Art S. Kate: Can you provide an approximate size of these objects (min, avg, max), there might be a few other solutions that can help. John F.
