Help getting Unix info from stored procedure

Does anyone know a way to do this. I am running Powerbuilder 5 under windows NT 4.0. The database is Informix 5.0 under AIX. I want to be able to run a unix program from powerbuilder (no problem, I can call a stored procedure.) the problem is that I need to get output back from the unix program back into powerbuilder. Any idea how I can do this? Example, a program that would tell me (in PB) what my UNIX groups are (ie execute the unix groups command and return the results).
