Problems connecting across network using IStar/INet

Hi there. I have two boxes running SCO Unix, one has OnLine and Star 5.03. The other has Net 5.03 for TCP/IP and various Informix tools version 4.13. I have got the Star and OnLine configurations working ok as I can access these details from elsewhere on the network. But I cannot access the database on the OnLine server from the box using Net. It is not clear from the documentation exactly what needs to be running on the Net side. Do I need an sqlexecd process on the Net box in addition to the OnLine box? When I try to access the database, I get error message saying that there is no entry in the /etc/services file for the dbservername. However there is. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
