RSS Appears to stall ?

Here's an odd one... We have 4 servers, all Solaris Sparc 64bit --- 2 in site A, 2 in site B Site A contains a Standalone Server S1 and RSS node S2 Site B contains RSS nodes S3 and S4 S2 and S4 stay nicely in sync with S1 ; S3 RSS applies seem to 'stall' --- the drift varies from 1 log difference to 50 logs different. All nodes are running 11.50.FC5 Restarting the engine on S3 seems to resolve the issue; however I don't want our junior DBA getting into the mindset of restarting a live engine 'being ok'. Does anyone have any ideas on obvious (or not so obvious) things we can do before we disappear down the PMR route ? Regards, Nick
Nick, I see the same issue using 11.50.FC4 on Linux. I believe it is network related but I haven't been able to narrow it down yet. -----Original Message----- From: ids-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:ids-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of Lello, Nick Sent: Thursday, November 26, 2009 1:48 PM To: ids@iiug.org Subject: RSS Appears to stall ? We've recently added code to do better coordination between the primary= and RSS nodes. = From: "Jamie Gedye" <jgedyedba@teleformix.com> = = To: ids@iiug.org = = Date: 11/30/2009 11:16 AM = = Subject: RE: RSS Appears to stall ?
