Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
I'm trying to install IDS 7.31 on SCO Unix 5.0.5 on a Pentium II Single
CPU PC and I've done all the steps: created raw disk partitions,
installed 4GL and Informix Dynamic server, and I've got the onconfig
configured. When I run oninit -isvy to initialize the parameters and
the root dbspace, the process stops at the following message, then just
goes to the unix prompt without any errors:
Initializing log/checkpoint information.......
Then, it just goes to the unix prompt.
Did I miss any critical steps?
Pls help.
Thanks.

What does the online.log show?
After checking the online.log, I found out that I forgot to include the
sqlexec service (I use it in my sqlhosts file) in the services file.
I'm just not sure about connection between the sqlexec service and
log/checkpoint information, though.
Yes, it works, after I include the sqlexec service in the services file.
Thanks!
