onbar -b -L 0

Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.30.FC4XA
SunOS 5.9
When I do a onbar -b -L 0 the procees terminates and I get the messages "
Unable to open connection to database server: could not fork server
connection." and "/informix/FID/bin/onbar_d complete, returning 130 (0x82)" in
the onbar.log file.
Can anybody tell me what cause this to happen and what to do to solve this?
Thanks
Flip,
Does this work properly if you use tcp instead of shm connection ?
In this case please check your SHMBASE setting, which probably is set to
0x0A000000L instead of required 0x10A000000 (for 64-bit)?
Please compare with IDS machine specific notes.
Other possiblity could be different owner and permission set for onbar
script. Please let us know output of 'ls -la $INFORMIXDIR/bin/on*'.
Did you start the L 0 backup via storage manager or manually?
Did this occur while running logical log backup (in parallel) which haven't
been triggered by ALARMPROGRAM?
Does this problem occur since last upgrade?
Some log exerpts like online.log, bar_act.log, sm_logs on this might be
helpful...
