ontape encryption?

Hello, I am a Linux admin with some past database experience, however I am new to Informix. We are running Informix IDS 9.4.0 on RedHat ES 3 and 4, and we do backups via ontape to a tape device. I have been asked to look into how to encrypt the data on the tapes.
