ONLINE.log file enhancements

Hello, How can I enhance the contents of online.log file of Informix. It's going bigger and bigger, I want to not record the succeeding checkpoints there for example. Regards, Marwan. That's not something you have control over. Firstly, you don't have control to filter such imp. log info. from online log. I would'nt think its a good idea either to stop recording such events in the log. The more info. in log, the more help in case of any debugging/investigation. On Unix, you can write couple of lines script to archive online logs automatically by unix log rorate process. You mustn't filter online.log. Only you must do maintenance task, either automatically or manually. Manually, you can copy online.log on another file and clean online.log every month, for example.
