upgrade ifx 10 to 11 via ontape L0

Hi, Is it possible to load the full ontape level zero backup from ifx 10 xC4 on to a 11 xC2 version? Both would be running on 32bit linux boxes. Or is the only way for upgrade to install ifx 11 instead of ifx 10 and then give ifx 11 the path to the ifx 10 data on disk and just start it up?
