ODBC - Database Locale Information Mismatch------W

The source DB (on IDS v11.x) is en_US.819 (default for IDS). I am trying to connect from an app via ODBC (using SDK 2.8 TC1 - required for another app) but keep erroring on the "Database locale information mismatch." error when connecting. I've looked into this issue pretty extensively and I've tried using SetNet32 to set the DB_Locale, but it keep saying "IBM Informix Server is not set. Save anyway?". I've tried setting both the Client and Database Locales to "en_US.819" (from en_US.CP1252) in the ODBC connection itself. in I know I could change the DB_Local of the actual DB to 1252 by exporting/importing, but want to figure out how to change the ODBC connection. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance! ------WebKitFormBoundary3X2LmDBhQtBz+0oe
Well, nevermind. I was using a created DSN-less connection in the app so configuring the ODBC connection did no good! I would still like to know how to set this (DB Locale) in the connection string, but the ODBC setting works...
Mr. David: Here we had some similar troubles, solved issuing just modifying the CLIENT_LOCALE (on ODBC or even JDBC clients). Don´t mess around DB_LOCALE, just set the above to en_us.1252 and that shall work fine. Obs: our client is version 3.50 (the 2.8 sdk won´t work on IDS 11, according to the documentation, am I wrong?) Suggestion: get the latest client SDK on the IBM site, install it, and check if it works. Regards.
