More Questions than Answers on the Archive TAPEDEV size

As usual -- the more I know the more confused I get -- I remembered Carlton Doe talking about this in his Informix-Online Dynamic Server Handbook -- so when I got home I looked it up. He says Informix's limit is 2 TB -- and I'm not sure what TB is -- Terra Bytes or Tetra Bytes -- another 3 zeros? Anyway -- now I don't know what Informix was telling me and what my problem was -- why would they give me a 10 digit number when onconfig takes the number in kbytes? Was someone there confused between GB and TB? Who knows? -- I know I will leave mine set at 2 gig for now -- as this causes me no problems with my present setup -- but I will also take Nils' and Art's advice and test it out for myself when I get to the point where the 2 gig is not enough for an archive or a day's worth of logs. I have stopped using onarchive (where I had the problem) in favor of ontape -- and it will be a while before I need to concern myself. Please take my previous posts for what they are worth...
