Hi, I have a SERVERSET in the connection manager. In the SLA, I have DBSERVERS set to a dbalias to the server (this service runs PAM authentication). My problem is that the connection manager keeps redirecting to the primary instance instead of the alias - how do I fix that? -Justin

rmcasoc 10022/tcp
rmcapamsoc 10023/tcp
rmcacmhqsoc 10030/tcp
rmcacmyardsoc 10031/tcp
output from cmsm when I try to connect:
09:54:27 DEBUG[TID140000110888704]:SLA rmca_cm_yard_curlynet server curlynet

09:54:27 SLA rmca_cm_yard_curlynet redirect SQLI client from 192.168.1.19 to
curlynet 192.168.39.13.10022
Note the redirect to port 10022 (rmcasoc) instead of 10023 (rmcapamsoc)

That did the trick - thanks Jinming. For anyone viewing this in the future, what you need to do is add the 's=4,pam_serv=(rmca_pam),pamauth=(password)' onto the connection manager sqlhost entry in addition to the server entry. -Justin -----Original Message----- From: ids-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:ids-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of JINMING XIAO Sent: Tuesday, June 25, 2013 6:49 AM To: ids@iiug.org Subject: Re: RE: connection manager SLA point to DBALIAS no [30637] http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21635513 a technote for Configuring the Connection Manager for PAM Authentication Thanks ******************************************************************************* Forum Note: Use "Reply" to post a response in the discussion forum.
