Hello, A SAP guy gave me report about Our informix database and SAP application. IDS 7.24, SAP 3.0F On the report I saw a mapping like that : PhysicalDisk Address LogicalVolume Relevant Tables --------------------- ------------- --------------- 2 GB disk address volume_01 Table1, table2, table3,table4 2 GB disk address volume_02 table1, table2, table4 ... ... .... The problem is, all the tables are in the same dbspace and the dbspace is residing on about 20 disks. Now, I wonder how he found out which table extents are on which physical disks ? Is there any tool that shows that ? Any answer is appreciated. Gokhan Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

See oncheck -pe which reports extents sorted by location: chunk and
starting position and reports to what table each extent belongs.
If you are interested in a particular table run oncheck -pT databse:tbl
Art S. Kagel
Try executing oncheck -pe and pipe it to a file. This report will show
you the exents that each table is in. The report is broken down by
dbspace and the chunks associated with each dbspace. You should be able
to see easily if a table spans chunks within a dbspace.
