Extracting a tif image from a BLOB?

I 'd like to know if there are any utilities out there to extract a .tif image from a BLOB field so that any client can view is on a shared network drive. Informix support told me that their database can only do a DUMP to a file which is, of course, not a valid viewable image. Thanks for any help, Rolly
