Re: termcap configuration for hpux 9.04
Posted in 1997
have u tried setting both the INFORMIXTERM and TERMCAP variables?
besides it would not hurt u to read the release notes in the
release directory that comes with the online product. generally it
has machine specific recommendations and i for one have found
them to be pretty reliable.

} OK, I'll make some assumptions:
} 1. You're on the HP console.
} 2. You just want to dbaccess or onmonitor up.
}
} My experience with HP terms is to leave Informix's termcap alone -
} HP's works much better.
}
} So:
} 1. unset TERMCAP
} 2. TERM=hp
} 3. export TERM
}
} should work.
}
} If, for some reason, you *do* want to use Informix's termcap, then:
} 1. TERMCAP=$INFORMIXDIR/etc/termcap
} 2. export TERMCAP
} 3. TERM=whatever
} 4. export TERM
}
} HTH.
