RE: primary key lost

Don't worry, I'm in the same boat here. Too many people with the wrong levels of access on my database/s. The developers basically have full dba rights on the system. I / we have tried to take it away from them for 3 years now, but no luck. They have embedded themselves into this system so much, that the system can't run without them having access - BAD IN MANY WAYS !!!! And we just can't take their access away - even the managers turn a blind eye in all our meetings, and have only had lots of excuses for taking / not taking their access away. Ok, now that I've let that off my chest ............ :-( -----Original Message----- From: owner-informix-list@iiug.org [mailto:owner-informix-list@iiug.org] On Behalf Of roger huang Sent: 07 March 2005 12:17 PM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Re: primary key lost Hi Dirk, Thank you for your tips,I have found why the primary key's lost already. someone had altered the table's primary key column's default value, and did'nt know that is a primary key.
