installation scenerio

Imagine this....you have at your desk a Sun Ultra2 with 256M memory and 2 disk drives with each approximately 8 GB to play with. You are asked to install Informix ODS 7.23 on this machine. (Solaris 2.5.1) The documentation is driving me nuts.....so I am asking for your advice. I am looking for some general guidelines for allocating partitions/chunks/dbspaces. I have read the doc's and the information is so scattered across manuals it is very difficult to determine a good strategy. I obviously want to mirror my rootdbs, phy.logs and log.logs. Would a separate dbspace for each database be advantageous? Should my dbspaces be located on specific chunks or disk drives? How should chunks be associated with partitions?
