Getting the license details on an old instance

Hello,
I need to get the license details (license type PVU or Concurrent users, and
if so how many etc.) on an age-old (10+ years) IDS 9 instance ASAP. I have no
clue how to do it, I'm completely new to Informix. Is there some switch to
onmode, or I have to look for such details elsewhere, perhaps in some system
database?
Thank you very much!

There is nothing in the product that identifies which kind of metric you
have. That is just a commercial/legal issue. Not technical..
If you don't have the purchase details you probably can contact IBM ask ask
for what was sold.... If you're paying maintenance the invoice should tell
you that.
Regarding the count of your usage metrics you can check it two ways
depending on the metric you're licensed to:
1- CPU: You should count and identify the processor "cores" you're using in
that machine.
2- Concurrent sessions: There is a table in sysmaster database that will
tell you the maximum number of sessions that instance ever achieved and the
maximum number since you "rebooted" the database server. The table is
sysshmvals:
SELECT
sh_curmaxcons max_conn_this_run,
sh_ovlmaxcons max_conn_ever
FROM sysshmvals
Regards.

License details are not stored or recorded anywhere on your system. You
will have to call IBM and check with them. If you have your customer number
they can look it all up for you.
